Introduction

The Strict Templar Observance is a Masonic and chivalric system of German origin, organised in the eighteenth century and associated with the work of Baron von Hund. Inspired by the Templar ideal, it is traditionally structured into Provinces, Priories, Prefectures and Commanderies.

Rites and Degrees

  • Craft Lodges (Strict Templar Observance)
  • Scottish Lodges
  • Degree of Scottish Master
  • Templar Chapters
  • Degrees of Novice and Knight Templar
  • The degree of Professed Knight is conferred only by the Grand Master of the Strict Observance.
  • Requirements for Participation

    Those who have not yet been initiated should approach a Craft Lodge to begin their Masonic journey.

    Master Masons from other Lodges who wish to learn about the Higher Degrees, as well as Brethren who already hold Higher Degrees of the Rite of the Strict Templar Observance or the Rectified Scottish Rite, should email the Grand Master.
